New Studies - New Work. That is the motto of WAM. The creative media academy specialises in training young people for jobs in the creative industry. As part of the German educational landscape for over 60 years, it has been successfully qualifying young people for various professions in the creative world.
And it does so with an innovative live online study concept. After all, the world of work has changed dramatically in recent years. Remote work, i.e. working digitally from any location, is no longer a fashionable term, but has become an everyday reality for many - almost every company in Germany now employs remote workers. Digitalisation has made this shift possible. And because the world of work is becoming increasingly remote, we also need new study formats that are geared towards the constantly evolving world. As a private educational institution, WAM has the opportunity to respond to these new challenges. And so WAM is promoting the next generation of talent for the creative industries with 'New Studies'.
The degree programme at WAM systematically combines creative content with a business background and technical expertise with a deep understanding of creative processes. The programme unites the academic approach and transfer of theoretical knowledge with the concrete application of the acquired know-how in exciting practical media projects. Some of these take place with real clients and provide initial insights into commissioned work.
As a result, students not only acquire the theoretical foundations of individual subjects, but also immediately familiarise themselves with the direct application possibilities of the acquired knowledge.
This enables intensive and long-term learning. Through the extensive practical work, students not only gain a great deal of experience but also valuable documentation of their skills in order to be prepared for application phases for internships or jobs.
WAM graduates are all-rounders with specialised knowledge and are therefore not only familiar with the theory and practice of a specialist area, but also with the entire work process in the respective target industry.
